Part 2 is a detailed guide to all the best wall sites, illustrated by over 300 photographs.  As well as sites along the wall,
there are detailed photo-guides to Birdoswald, Housesteads, Vindolanda and Chesters Forts and to Corbridge Roman town, with emphasis on the interpretation of the surviving evidence and some imaginative reconstructions.  There are also sections on the Museums along the Wall and brief biographies of the Emperors associated with Roman Britain.

The author has over 30 years experience in leading groups of all ages along the Roman frontier.
